Terms and Conditions

The terms that apply to this website and to our building work.

Last updated: 2 November 2026

These terms explain how you may use the Alpha London Builders website and set out the general basis on which we quote for and carry out building work. By using this website you agree to the website terms below. Building work is always carried out under the written quote and contract we agree with you, which sets out the price, scope, programme and payment schedule for your project.

About us

This website is operated by Alpha London Builders (“we”, “us”, “our”), a building contractor working in London. You can contact us at info@alphalondonbuilders.co.uk or on 07817 382358.

Using this website

The information on this site is provided for general guidance. We aim to keep it accurate, but costs, timescales and planning rules vary from project to project and change over time, so nothing here is a quote, a binding offer or a substitute for professional advice about your own property. Please use the site lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt it, copy it systematically or misuse the contact forms.

Quotes and estimates

We provide a free site survey and an itemised, fixed-price quote for your project. A quote is based on the survey and the information you give us, and it stays valid for the period stated on it. Prices or timescales given in conversation, by email or on this website are indicative only until a written quote has been accepted.

Contracts and changes to the work

A contract is formed when you accept our written quote or sign our contract. If you ask for changes to the agreed scope, we will confirm the effect on price and programme in writing before the extra work starts. Unforeseen conditions, such as hidden structural defects or asbestos, may also require changes, and we will explain these to you as soon as they are found.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and stage payments, are set out in your written quote or contract. Invoices are payable by the date shown on them. If a payment is late, we may pause work after giving you notice, and we may charge interest on overdue sums as permitted by law.

Planning permission and Building Regulations

Where your project needs planning permission, Building Regulations approval or a party wall agreement, we will tell you during the survey and explain who is responsible for each step. Approvals are decided by third parties such as the council and Building Control, so we cannot guarantee their outcome.

Access, programme and delays

Any programme we give you is our best estimate and depends on you providing access to the property, making decisions in good time and on factors outside our control such as weather, supply delays and third-party approvals. We will keep you informed if the programme is likely to change.

Workmanship and guarantee

We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care, using suitable materials, and in line with Building Regulations. Our workmanship is covered by the written guarantee issued with your project. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Your right to cancel

If you are a consumer and the contract is agreed away from our premises, for example at your home or online, you normally have the right to cancel within 14 days of agreeing it, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work during this period, you may need to pay for the work done before you cancel. We will give you full details of your cancellation rights when you receive your contract.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights. Subject to that, we are not responsible for loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breach, or for losses to a business you run from your property.

Complaints

If something is not right, please tell us as soon as possible by emailing info@alphalondonbuilders.co.uk or calling 07817 382358. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and work with you to put things right.

You may view and print pages for your own personal use, but you may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written consent. Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content.

Your information

How we collect and use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the one that applies when you use the site, and the terms in your written contract apply to your building work.
